I made another thumbprint tree and I think I like it much much better than the first one!
What do you think? Feedback greatly appreciated!!

Note: I did finish it, by painting over it again to darken it, then I finished the bottom too (that’s not how it looks lol). I still have to add on the names and the date, but I don’t feel up to going and getting it out and taking another picture.
For reference, here is my original tree:

(awful, I KNOW)

@AllShookUp: I was thinking about adding the swing, but I wasn’t sure how it would look! Does anyone else think I should re-add the swing?

@happyface: Do you like it because of the swing, or just in general? I already went crazy and put prints all over it to test my ink lol, so its totally trashed!

Much better! I like the thinner branches. Though I thought swing on the first attempt was cute.

@aimeekaye26 what ink are you using? Is it easy to wipe off with baby wipes?

I think it would be cute to add the swing to the right hand side of the tree, since there’s less branches down there. But looking good!

@penelopesmith: I’m using ColorBox ink, I got it at AC Moore (I considered using acrylic paint for the prints, but that’s really messy). They are 5.99 each, and they do wipe of with baby wipes – but you must use the wipes! I am using different shades of green because the Fiance said he wants it to look like a real try and not have purple leaves (our bm dresses are Plum, which he HATES)

I like the new tree better but I like the swing from the first one! Or maybe a pair of birds?

@JenGirl: i was thinking of suggesting birds too! or a bittle squirrel eating an acorn.
What does the bottom look like? too bad you can’t paint on an etched heart and arrow with your initials, i think that would be cute. And i also think the new one actually looks really professional, it doesn’t look DIY to me at all (kinda jealous)!
