So I haven’t really seen anyone do this yet but I am really wanting to stick with original ideas for favors and I pout together something I hope all my guests would like. I just need some opinions to help me smooth the idea out.
I really want to stay within my tea party theme by giving out teaspoons that I found for an excellent price on Amazon.com. Here is the link if you want to check them out:
http://www.webstaurantstore.com/dominion-flatware-iced-tea-spoon-24-box/977657021%20%20%20BX.html
I only need 8 boxes of 24 (150 guests) so that adds up to 45.54 including shipping for me ๐
I’m going to tie them with this type of string
to individual tazo tea bags which are only 4.95 for a carton of 24. I need 8 cartons and that adds up to 40.93 with shipping from the direct site tazo.com!
44.50 For the stamping equipment, cardstock, and ribbon to put “Thank you” on.
That’s $130.97 for 150 guests ๐ Less than a dollar per guest!
I also have the option of purchasing organza bags for another 40 bucks or so which will put me over budget but what do you guys think? Does this gift really need an organza bag or is it fine the way it is?

@lochnessy: I think you should put them together and then decide afterwards whether or not you want to buy the organza bags.

I know as brides we want every detail to be perfection, but remember that no one is really going to remember all of the details either. I was really trying to get the perfect favor, but had to be reminded no one would care as much as I did.
I was going to get mugs with lobsters in a heart shape printed in them (as we’re having a clambake) for over $500 (ouch) for the favors, but realized it wasn’t that important to anyone but me. I have been to weddings with just almonds as favors as well as weddings with specially ordered glass flowers with swarski crystals and I have to admit I don’t even know what happened to those favors. In the end I chose seeds as my favors for around $80 (whew) with little cute bride and grooms poems on them. It isn’t themed, but I like it.
I think your spoons are cute and thoughtful, but really you packaging is fine. Don’t sweat the small stuff like in organza bags or string, because no one else will.

I think what you have planned out sounds fabulous! I have a little set of teaspoons someone got me and I have used them several times at gatherings for the sugar that people put in their coffee or tea!
