I’m almost done making mine. I just went to joanne fabric and got the tulle that looked like the right color. I rubbed it on my face to decide if it was too scratchy (the ones with sparkles were but the rest didn’t bother me). I bought lace online through etsy for like $3 per yard. Then I sewed the lace on with nylon thread (which is a PITA to work with but you can’t see the thread unless its half an inch from your face and under the right light at the perfect angle so you won’t see any mistakes in the final product). My veil is a drop veil, so I added the length of the blusher to the length I wanted it to be behind me to get the total length. I did the same thing to calculate how wide I wanted the veil to be. I decided how long things were going to be by laying a cloth tape measurer on my head and seeing what looked right. I figured out how much lace to order by calculating the circumference of my veil with an oval calulator (which I googled). After I finish the veil I’ll make a tutorial, but it will be a few months. You would use the same process for a mantilla veil. I plan on pinning my veil to my head with hat pins, but you can also sew it to a comb (with nylon thread). If you want one that is gathered there are tons of tutorials for those too.

Joannes has a great kit for like 15$ that pretty much is a nice base for a veil. If you want details it depends on what you want, look them up and youtube it and it’s great.

I made mine, basically with a large circle of tulle and sewed on some pearls and crystals and it’s really pretty
