So I bought a thrift store veil. It’s a 2 tier, attached to a comb and the comb has little pearls and flowers. However, when I bought my dress off Ebay it came with a comb (just the comb alone) that I like a LOT better. I can see that the veil is basically stitched to this comb… my question for y’all is; how hard is it going to be to switch the veil (fabric) to this other comb that I’d rather use?
thanks in advance!

Do you think you could post pictures so it’s easier to see how best it could be done?

@staceynrick: yeah I hoped to do that in the first place. Trying to get my son to find his phone so I can use the camera. 😉 I don’t have one on my phone.. 🙁 HOpefully in the next few minutes.

My headpiece and veil are separate. I’ll take the veil off for the reception. Not sure yet if I will wear the veil over the comb or tuck the veil under the comb so it looks like it’s attached. In order to transfer the veil, you would have to VERY carefully cut the threads and then sew (or have it sewn) onto the other comb.

@Georgia Bee: How does your veil attach?
My son can’t find his phone so I can’t take a pic. 🙁 I swear, I am taking that phone when he finds it and he can have my old crappy blackberry! He’s always losing it. Anyway, that’s off the topic. 😉

If it is simply stitched on to the comb it came with, it should be pretty easy to just clip the stitching and transfer it to the new comb.
