I set out to do everything diy because I am very particular and want things my way(spoiled)….but what i am finding out is that although diy can save money untill you come up with the exact element you want it can be costly as well.I guess i just need a vision because as soon as I semi know what I want ,then i totally change my mind.is anyone else experiencing this?

Yup. I did many DIY things and then it ended up being for nothing. It can be frustrating. i wanted to get things done really early so I wasnt cramming for the wedding… but the things I did early on, I ended up not liking them a few months later.

Stoy DIYing until you have an inspiration board. Google search and look on pinterest. Save photos or print them out. Once you have a clear idea then make stuff, but until you know exactly what you want to do don’t spend any money. DIY can be cheaper than buying, but not always. And if you spend the money on supplies and scrap the project you’re out money AND time. Do you have a theme? What are your colors? Is this a formal, semi-formal, or casual affair? You need to be able to answer these first.

I would just say to take it easy at first. Your mind will continue to change until the date is closer. I had all these ideas in mind and as my wedding approached, I threw a lot of them out the window. I still did a ton of DIY, but I did it all in the last couple/few months before the wedding, once everything else started falling in place and I could be sure about some of the elements of the day.

YES,i tired starting early to get a jump on things.I have changed my mind on nearly everything. For the life of me I cannot decide what centerpieces i want.I have sold my dress I orginally loved and now am anxiously awaiting one I ordered. One thing is for sure,no wonder wedding plannners charge so much because it is a lot of work
