- Wedding: May 2014
Fiance and I have decided to forego video due to our budget. My cousin (20 years old) has agreed to video for us using a camcorder to get the most important shots (ceremony, entrace to reception, toasts, first dance, father/daughter dance, cake cutting). He is good with technology and I think will do a great job.
Has anyone done this? We are not expecting much, just to have some of these moments on video that we can look at again, not to have a beautiful video. If the shots come out ok, we can edit it into a little video for our own use but again, we don’t have high expectations – it’s more so we can look at the wedding from an outsider’s perspective because a lot of it will be a blur and it will be nice right after the wedding to just look at the video and see those moments again.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality camcorder for under $200? Ideally we were looking at under $100, but I’m not sure if I can get one that will have enough storage/battery life so we upped it to $200. Although I’m hoping now since it’s holiday time I can find a good sale.
