Has anyone thought of doing their own wedding videography?? I am thinking about making my own video after I get my wedding pictures back. I would like to incorporate some videos from the BIG DAY as well as our pictures and make my own video memory. I have thought of asking family members to tape certain things with their phones but not sure how it is all going to turn out. I think this would be a fun idea but worry it won’t turn out. The video is not all that important but thought it would be fun to add with the photos. Tips or advice???

@golfergirl: You should look into storymix media. Apparently you can rent one of their cameras for about $100 and throughout the night your guests can take videos of their perspective. Then you send it back to them and they edit it for you. I’m considering doing this actually.

Another company I heard of that is similar to storymix media is Switchcam. Guests can tape photos/videos with their phones or digital cameras, and then Switchcam makes it look good and puts it all together into a wedding video. you can probably find some examples of how these turn out on their website!

@golfergirl: We wanted a video of our ceremony but we are doing a DIY instead. Fiance has a DSLR camera and I think we are going to set it up on a tripod somewhere and let it roll. We can edit it later if we want.

I am having my MOHs SO video the ceremony and important things like cutting cake, toasts, dances ect and then my Fiance will put a video together. He does that all the time for our skiing and kayaking trips so it will be awesome 🙂
