These are just a few photos from our vintage inspired pink and gold wedding.
It was a perfect day and came out better than we could have ever dreamed.
I have a few DIY projects I need to figure out how to edit the photos. We DiY the programs and a seating chart mirror. If I edit the names it doesn’t look pretty any more. Hopefully I can post them when I get a free minute to play with the photos. These are just some images I had on my phone.
Out DIY floral arrangements, we made 30 centerpieces. 2 for the seating chart table and 28 of them went on the guest tables. Total cost $979. We collected mercury vases from craft store and homegoods/Marshall’s/tjmaxx. We ordered white roses and hydrangea from sams club and we got our seedEd eucalyptus, spray roses and garden roses from fifty flowers. Would have cost much less but we ordered WAY more than we needed, better safe than sorry I suppose. We hired a florist to do the bouquets, church arangementa and bouts. As we got closer to the wedding we realized we didn’t want to deliver and set up our DIY arrangements, so we contracted wit the florist for a fee. She picked up the centerpieces at the hotel when she dropped off the bouquets and she delivered and set them up for us at the country club. I think everyone was a little worried how DIY arrangements would turn out but holy cow, the were better than I pictured in my mind.
My rainy day Michaels craft project. Card box. I seriously hate birdcages and birds lol so I’m not sure why I even made this, but it worked!!
This was not DIY but more of a budget thing. We ordered our small 2 tier cake and 200 cupcakes from a local bakery that doesn’t offer delivery. It was $450 for all of it. Father-In-Law picked up the cake aand cupcakes and delivered them to the country club to set it up for us on the cake stand we got.
Out sweetheart table with our DIY centerpiece. I was totally against up lighting of all kinds, particularly color. I instructed the wedding coordinator and the DJ that if more light was needed to use a sof gold/yellow light because I thought color was taky. Well when I showed up there was a very light pinky/purple that actually looked just lovely. Photos don’t capture it will but it really roughy my pink and gold theme more to life. I am glad they ignored my multiple requests for no colors 🙂
::sigh::my favorite part. TThe bridesmaids dresses. I had all the girls get a long dress, vintage inspired that was either, blush pink, rose gold, champagne or taupe. We didnt see the dresses together UNTIL the day of the wedding. They ccame out better than I could have ever hoped. Two of the girls had sequins that matched eexactly to one another. We got so many compliments on how refreshing and beautiful the bridesmaids dresses were.
We got a pretty sweet deal on our pew flowers from the florist $50 for 10 jumbo hydrangea pew clips with pink bows!
This is one of my favorite pictures from the wedding. For those that aren’t familiar with a Greek Orthodox wedding. there is a crowning ceremony during the wedding which the bride and groom wear matching crowns tied together with a ribbon. This signifies that we are joined together as one under God and will be the king and queen of our home. our vows are complete unspoken so this picture is so beautiful and powerful to us 🙂
