I like the color. Not fan of the print. I’d look for something more delicate. Pretty neat that you’re making your own wedding dress! 🙂

It’s hard for me to imagine how it would look without having an idea in my head of the dress style. Can you give a link to the dress pattern you’re going to use?

I think the lace is very pretty and so is the dress style.

It doesn’t look $6/ yd to me, but if you’re not confident it wouldnt hurt to keep looking. I do agree that something more delicate might suit the dress better. Joann also has lots of options (and coupons)- I got my lace for $10/ yd. Plus you can return it whenever so I like that!

I’m with calysa, esp re the dress.

ETA, perhaps the more dress-fabric-savvy bees are right, and   a smaller lace pattern would be better?

I think this lace will work well with the dress you’re thinking to make.  It doesn’t look like it’s only $6 a yard, but if you’re able to find a more elegant pattern it would  be even better.

Personally, I’d pick a slightly more delicate lace pattern if I were making that dress. Can you do a mock up of a sleeve by just pinning the fabric to see what it would look like? I’d be most concerned that the lace might look heavy where you see it against bare skin.

I don’t think it looks cheap, but lace pattern doesn’t seem intricate enough for a wedding dress.
