We really wanted a way to incorporate our love of traveling and photography so I made coasters for each guest/couple/family with photos we took during our travels. We picked which photos to use for each recipient, depending on their taste or how we know them. For example – some guests have also gone to Spain, so we used photos from our trip to Spain, other guests we know through music festivals so we used photos from those – think sunset at Coachella. A lot of guests really loved them. Here is the tutorial I used – http://www.liliesandloafers.com/diy-instagram-coasters/
I wrapped them with thin hemp and then bought some printed/personalized gift tags on etsy. I don’t have a photo of a full set, but here is one on the table (pic from Park Guell). The other side had their name.

theillest: I LOVE this idea, so personal and fun. Can I ask how much you ended up spending per guest?

brideinthesix: I still have guests raving about my dads famous spicy pickles! I told him that when I’m pregnant he is going to have to make them by the gallon for me! =)

Initially I had planned to do homemade vanilla extract like this..

But we ended up doing succulents in tea cups!

We got candy (hershey kisses, kit kats and something else I don’t remember) and put a few in each box as our favor. The boxes were a little work to put together but ended up super cute!

tiffany7: I’m highly thinking macaroons packaged or those little smores treats you can Put together. I need to do a test run on the macaroons. Never baked them before.
MrsBonJovi: he’s not going to help put favors together but he’s been helping w other areas. He just said he thinks we should do an edible favor.

brideinthesix: I do like this but I’ve seen it so often it’s not that original. Really really consideing it though. Cake pops sound awesome. were they difficult to make??

vanessa777: Cake Pops aren’t difficult to make, but they’re certainly time consuming I think.

Kat14: Fiance and I were thinking doing coffee and tea too! Did you buy pre-ground coffee or grind your own? And how close to the wedding did you package everything? We’re trying to figure out the best way to do it.

ladylovebug: a few days before the wedding. I had them grind it at the coffee shop. I love to grind coffee but figured it would be too much. We had lots left over but I just put in my coffee container and enjoyed lol
