I’m doing Sam’s Club at my florists suggestion – she will clean and prep them at $10 a bucket! Even with that, I’ll be paying about 1/3 what she charges per stem!  She will be using my flowers for the bouquets, bouts, corsages, and I will be DIYing the reception flowers.

I was JUST about to post this. I also heard good things about fiftyflowers.com. They have a much wider variety, but I haven’t compared cost yet.

@messymonkey:  Ditto.  I’ve heard great things about Fifty Flowers.  They have a great website and also a Facebook page so you can see what others have done with their flowers.

OK I just cost-compared and fifty flowers is pricier than BJ’s or Costco. However, BJs AND Costco both seem to be inconsistent with their flowers. Seems like too big of a risk,

Im checking out the flowerexchange now but I can’t find real person reviews.

My bouquet was DIY (we eloped so need for centerpieces). I ordered the red gerbera daisies and mango calla lillies from amazonflowers.us. They have a great selection and shipping was free over $50. They came in perfect three days before, and I just stuck them in vases in order to let them hydrate and open. I bought the roses from a local grocery store. I assembled the bouquet and the boutonierre the night before. I loved how it turned out—I was able to have exactly the flowers and colors I wanted without paying an arm and a leg for a florist.

If I’m ordering my flowers to put together before my wedding day myself, should I schedule them to be delivered the day before the wedding or two days?

And when should I place my order?
