I think you might be overthinking it a little. I don’t think your FH needs to match the decor. Decorate however you want with whatever colors you want and let him wear the tux. Nobody is going to look at him and say “OMG! He doesn’t match the theme/color scheme of the decor!” And honestly, nobody will notice the decor as much as you think. Have fun with it 😊 and your theme sounds lovely!

If you use blue plates, maybe gold napkins? I see gold on the centerpiece as well. Also, how about incorporating “blue” flowers? Hydrangeas can be pretty blue, maybe not the same shade as the suit…but it could work. I also agree with PP. Your future husband doesn’t have to match the decor. You don’t want him to blend in either.

I’ve seen blue thistle in a lot of bouquets on Pinterest. That could be a nice subtle touch of blue in the flower arrangements that you have.

How about adding blue flowers in to your centrepieces to tie things together? Cornflowers, thistles, sea holly? Maybe eucalyptus leaves as they have a soft, slightly blue ish tone? We had a blue/orange sea theme to our wedding. I remember how tricky the blue element was! Good luck!

But agree with PP – your groom doesn’t have to match!!

Our bridesmaids were in blue, but I don’t like blue flowers so the decor was cream, grey and yellow. It looked nice. Team Groom Doesn’t Need to Match here!

I think you did an awesome job! Nice subtle touches of blue would be enough so I would add little bits of blue flowers to your backdrop and centerpieces. Gold would match with blue plates and white tablecloth if you really need runners.

Agree with PPs that groom’s blue tux doesn’t need to match the decor as you wouldn’t want him blended in.

I went to a wedding recently that had blue candlesticks on the tables and it was a lovely addition to their palette without being overbearing.

I just wanted to pop in and say the decor you created is gorgeoussss. I’m so impressed with the flower wall/backdrop and centerpieces! You have great style so I’m sure whatever color you add it will look lovely 🙂
