cilenefn:  Good job! I might pick up on the heart in your invitation and use a heart shaped envelope seal in the same color.

Wow! We have twin desings : D I am also DIY my invitations in an “envelope” style -as I like to call it- with gray paper. I think they look great!

As for the outside, I also felt that my invitations where missing something : / because gray can look so plain. So I have been inspired by the following picutres (see below) and have decided to close the “envelope” invitation with a paper ribbon and a silk ribbon (that matches my dress).

I will be putting a bow just like here:

And, see the little circle with initials? I am going to put that outisde instead of inside.

Did you purchase a template? Online or elsewhere. Like or the graphic design part?

Lovely! I’m DIYing my invites too! I finally got all the pieces in the mail, now just to assemble them. I can’t wait! I’m actually going to do one and bring it to the post office to figure out how much postage will be. Here’s a picture of all the pieces (please excuse the cat tail ๐Ÿ˜› )

The mint envelopes are the outer envelopes, and I have lace doilies to make inner envelopes which will be tied with mint twine- I can’t wait to see it all put together!

cilenefn:  Awesome thanks for the info! ๐Ÿ™‚ I wasn’t planning to DYI my invites but the sample I received of quite pricey invites is only mediocre and so not worth the expense, so now I’m thinking this will be the way I go!

cilenefn:  I love your invitation too. When you received the template was it locked so you couldn’t make any changes?
