- Wedding: April 2011
I just thought I would share a little laugh with you.
This weekend I finally sat down and decided I would print off my DIY wedding invites. I bought a beautiful kit including ribbon and lovely stationary; all that was left to do was print. I set up a template, got all the margains correct, and changed my printer settings just like the instructions told me to do. When I fed the paper through, however, it didn’t work. I tired multiple settings, but to my dismay nothing was working. The paper is a strange size (4″ X 9″) and it is card stock so I kept thinking this was the issue.
TWO HOURS LATER my Fiance gets home and sees me near tears about to throw the printer out the window. I was seriously in such a foul mood by this point that I was in no mood to cater to my smart alec hubbie-to-be. I told him to get his hands off because after two hours of me having no success there was NO WAY he would be able to fix the problem. I was certain I had tried everything and that the problem was the compatibility between my printer and the paper.
Well after another 15 minutes of my grumbling and smashing things around my Fiance finally came back around the corner with a grin on his face. He couldn’t even talk because he was trying so hard not to laugh. Of course I didn’t think this was funny and demanded to know what was sooooo damn funny. He smiled at me and said, “The printer has been out of ink for days.”
Oh man…I guess that’s what I deserve for being such a bitoch. lol.
