You have to get a decent matte foundation, bb cream, cc cream etc and maybe a mattifying setting powder/spray if youre worried about shine. Bring a camera in natural light and take pictures of a bare face and made up face and youll see the difference. A photographers camera captures everything so you may not look as flawless in print as you would in person without proper makeup.

Yes! Me. I did my own makeup and did not wear foundation. I never wear foundation. I really did not want to look dramatically different on my wedding day.

I don’t wear foundation, and never have. I will be doing my own makeup as well. <br />I plan on doing just what I normally do. Mascara, small cat eye, and a slightly glittery, taupe colored eyeshadow.

cassadina:  I did my own makeup for my wedding, and I normally only wear mascara and eyeliner on a daily basis.

Obviously you don’t have to wear foundation if you don’t want to, but if you’re investing in doing a great job on every other part of the makeup (eyes, lips, eyebrows, blush), I would invest in skin coverage as well. It will complete the whole look.

I used MAC face and body foundation, and mineralize skinfinish powder. These are very natural and lightweight. I hate anything that feels/looks cakey. This foundation was light enough for my freckles to come through, and just gave me a polished look. No shine. I highly recommend!

OK, I’m a bit psycho so I’ve taken my eyes out, lol.

Right now I only have access to my pics on facebook, but I chose a couple that might help show the makeup.

The first pic is through my veil, but I still think you can see how light the makeup is.

The second one is near the end of the night, during my dance with my dad.

I got married in late Nov so I didn’t have the sweat situation that some brides have when they get married in the summer, so that helped.

Also, regarding your allergies – you could go to MAC and have them demo the products on you.  Either make an appointment, or if they’re not very busy, one of the artists will just do a quick demo on you on the spot.

If you wear the makeup around all day, and don’t have a reaction, then I think you’ll be fine.  They can also help you pick the correct colours for your skin tone.

I hardly ever wear any make up, I get a brow and lash tint once a month or so instead. I am.planning on wearing some for the wedding. I use lancome liquid foundation, I love it so much. If your worried about shine i would go for a mac bronzer or blush, they do the best powders for cover up. If your worried about allergies I would go to a department store and explain your issue to the cosmetics lady’s and they are usually happy to trial some out. You could even try the body Shop.

cassadina:  I got married in a simple JOP wedding and I didn’t wear any makeup that day.  I don’t wear make up normally so I wasn’t going to change that on the day I got married.

I dont wear foundation daily and did my own make up for my wedding. I used Dior Airflash. I applied it will a brush after spraying a small amount in a glass. I set it with Make Up Forever HD Powder. The coverage was light and my skin looked flawless. I too have highly allergic skin and neither product caused me issues.

I don’t wear foundation or powder at all so I won’t be wearing it at my wedding. I think maybe just mascara and maybe something to fill my eyebrows so they show up in pics.
