I’m thinking of doing my own makeup for the wedding. I just can’t justify the price when I could buy brand new makeup that I’d be able to keep/use after the wedding for the same price.
I’m going to go to a beauty counter in a department store, but I’d like some idea of what I’ll end up with. I’m thinking I will need:
Is there anything else I’m missing?

You might want to get some setting powder or spray so your makeup lasts the entire day. I use Makeup Forever’s HD powder but there are a lot of options out there – I think MAC might be a good brand to check as well.

Buy a spray for sure! I bought NYC (Super cheap, $2?) and it worked like magic.

You’ll want a powder to set your foundation. If you plan on doing any countouring you would want a bronzer or a darker powder and a highlighter. If you fill in your eyebrows, then pencil, gel, shadow whatever you would use for that. And I agree with the settting spray recommendation as well.

Consider some eyeprimer as well, it seriously helps your eyeshadow stay on foreverrr! Just make sure you get a good kind, I prefer too faced, I would also suggest a somewhat shiny lip gloss as well.
EDIT : I also second the powder & setting powder .
