Oh gosh I don’t think there’s 1 method that works for everyone. I just used my binder to store all my contracts, and any hand-outs I got for different vendors at the bridal expo I attended. I’m not a magazine girl so I didn’t clip pictures for a wedding binder. I use an Excel spreadsheet for our DJ playlist, our budget, and our checklist, and I use the Knot’s guest list tool and checklist. And for inspiration photos I use Pinterest, and I keep it really organized – when I was making invites I kept a “pretty papers” pinboard, I have a pinboard for hair/makeup, flowers, DIY decor, signature drink ideas, etc. It’s been SUPER helpful and when I meet with vendors I just print out a few of the pictures I’ve pinned.

@Seashells7:  You’re welcome! Don’t worry, it’s really not that hard to stay organized. I dunno what kind of email you use, but I have Gmail and it’s also been super helpful with wedding planning. I like the way it stores chains of emails with a particular person – for example, when I click on the most recent email from my venue, I can see all of the emails from them, anyways, super helpful! Being able to search for something in your email is also a plus – I tuck everything away into a “Wedding” folder, and when I need it I just search for the person/company.

The greatest must-have for wedding planning is the book A Practical Wedding. Seriously. It made me feel so much less stressed and helped me figure out what was important to my fiance and I.
