I want to paint these Target shoes for my wedding. I have questions (and a poll):
Should I paint just a yellow sunsine or should I make the center of the sun a little pearl to go with my dress?
Should I paint a blue sun on yellow shoes?
Should I paint a blue sun on yellow shoes with a pearl in the center?
Also… how can I paint faux leather shoes, lol. I’ve seen some websites but most of them end up being about canvas shoes.

@MissBitsPieces: I am thinking blue with yellow sun. go ahead and get that far and then you can decide on the pearl center, I think.
As for painting on leather, it shouldn’t be a problem unless you have plans for the paint job lasting for a long time. I used to paint all over my leather jacket in high school and just used whatever I could find. 🙂

I heard that some people use Meltonian Spray to paint leather shoes.

Could we see a pic of the dress?

I would go with yellow shoes and blue sun because the blue paint will cover the yellow better then the yellow would cover the blue. Make sense??

I really want to paint my wedding shoes as well! I am worried about painting the faux leather, but I read somewhere that if you are using real leather, you should sand it down sothe paint can grip. Have you started your project yet?

I’m planning on painting my target shoes sometime this week. Has anyone successfully tried to do this yet? I’m planning on sanding down the shoe and then applying white fabric paint, hope it goes well and I will post my results when it’s done. Here are my shoes right now (they are a blush color but are too pink for me)
