It’s really up to you and depends how much time/money you have available.

My wedding was pretty DIY and coordinating all the vendors was the most difficult part for me. We didnt have the budget for a wedding planner so we spent most weekends setting up appointments and working on wedding projetcs. It was a long year, but worth the work.

Are you the type that likes DIY or planning things? If so, I don’t think you need a planner. A Day of Coordinator would be very helpful though to make sure everything flows well. They’re also the point person for all vendors on your big day.

I was able to plan a wedding myself from out of state without a planner. I did get a DOC, which I highly recommend. On the flip side, if you are like my cousin who is very indecisive and hates planning things, then yes get one.
