For our wedding, and my cousin’s, the caterers helped set things up.  We showed them how to do one table, and they did the rest.

I’m not sure about my cousin’s wedding, but for mine, we did the other stuff the night before.  Some of it was done that morning by my Mom and one bridesmaid, but just a little bit.  Most was done the day before.

At mine, the owner of the venue does that sort of thing but I still have a family friend who was responsible and creative set it up.

We are setting up a lot of stuff the night before ( we had to rent the venue for 2 days to do this) so we have the rentals coming the day before the reception. We will be setting up most things ourselves andthe florist will come the day of and put the flowers in

Talk to your caterer- mine is going to set the centerpieces up, and one of my Mom’s friends will be “adjusting” as needed.

My florist is doing a lot of it, but my sister is going to be in charge of the rest of the getting prepped that day.  We are getting ready at the venue so it makes it really convenient.  She can pop over to the ceremony space while someone else is getting their hair down, etc.

Really though in situations like this I think your best bet is to ask a friend or family member to pitch in.

We are going the DIY route too and will be setting up at our venue the day before. We’re lucky enough to be having both the ceremony and reception in the same building so that helps. Plus, the venue always allows you to set up the day before (so long as no other weddings are happening then…luckily there isn’t one so far)!

Have you thought about asking your venues whether you are able to set up the night before? If that is not possible, you could possibly try getting a group of friends or family to help set things up the morning of. Alternatively you could hire a weekend wedding planner who would help organize everything (if it is in the budget). Good luck!

I have a group of friends that include some what I call young kids, (in their early 20s haha).  They are students and appreciate extra cash when they can get it.  So I am paying 4 of them to help me out on the wedding day with setting up and moving some chairs from the ceremony to our home and stuff like that.
