Well, I’ve become obsessed. Obsesssed with glittering.. I did some wine glasses last weekend for my Bridesmaid or Best Man and decided this weekend I needed to make shoes. These aren’t for my wedding, I’ve already bought a pair for that, they’re just for fun. And they turned out so awesome, I bought another cheap pair of heals to do for a get-together I’m throwing for my Bridesmaid or Best Man in June. I’m a little worried my house is going to turn into a giant ball of glitter!
These are the supplies & original shoes. Mod Podge Glossy, that’s for outdoor projects, it’s waterproof.. a foam paint brush & I bought extra fine glitter from Michael’s in the color Paradise for $3.99
Putting a coat of Mod Podge all over the shoe.. do one at a time.. Mod Podge it, then coat thoroughly in glitter..
Tada!! Gorgeous, glittery shoes.. once they were totally dry I put another coat of Mod Podge over them to seal the glitter on.. I checked this morning & it seemed dry and hardly any glitter came off.
I can hardly wait for a warm summer day to show these babies off with some shorts!
I also finished up my personalized hangers for my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, they aren’t quite as good as the ones you buy on Etsy, but they were a heck of a lot cheaper! When all was said & done, I spent $1.50 per hanger.. and I bought myself one a few weeks back on Etsy for $25 (regretting that now!)

Cute shoes. I am doing hangers as well, but instead of the wire I will be using my left over crystals from the shoes I did to write my attendants names right about where you have the bow on your hangers. Yours turned out great, I just hope mine will too lol!

Thank you! 🙂 My thoughts were, even if they don’t turn out perfect.. it’s the fact that I made them for the girls.. I took the time to do it for each of them..

Love it! You did a fantastic job!

how hard was it to do the hangers. I love them

@amandabones: Not hard at all.. it took a few of them to really get the hang of it.. poor Sarah and Amanda was the first ones & theirs looks pretty yucky.. if I had to do it all over I’d probably buy some extra wire & do a few practice tries before making the real ones.. oh well, I’m not going to re-do them.. I’m sure the girls will like them! I just formed the names, my dad drilled a tiny hole on each side of the hanger, I put a dab of hot glue and shoved the wire in the hole.. then just hot glued the little bow on.

Where did u get your wire?

@JJsGirl_09: You can get it at any craft store, I got mine at Joanne’s for $1.99 a roll.. I was able to get about 2 names out of each one.. but I guess it depends how big you make the names or how long the names are.

Awesome job!! How did you make the hangers? Just bend the wire?

Did you just bend the wires with your hands?! That’s super awesome!
