Any DIY brides out there know of or have experience with reliable floral wholesalers that serve British Columbia?
I was originally planning a Northern California wedding but the exchange rate is horrendous, so we’ve changed course. I found so many options stateside like Blooms by the Box, Bloominous and Fifty Flowers, but nothing in Canada except for Bunches Direct who seem to have a non user-friendly website that is frustrating the heck out of me.

I’ve heard good things about ordering bulk flowers from Costco. (in Alberta, but following in case you get suggestions that might work for me too).

You can also order from Costco!

Where in BC are you? If in the lower mainland, try Bootah Jardin

Try Costco for sure, but apparently it is way better to order them in store than online (they use different wholesalers and have WAY more selection in store). I think you have to pick them up from Costco once they come in though.

In terms of reliable Costco is your safest bet. You’ll want to visit the flower kiosk when the flower rep is working and get the order sheet – I think orders need a minimum of six weeks. The best part is though if you don’t require all the flowers or don’t like the looks of some, you don’t have to buy them – they just put them or for regular sale if you don’t take them. (I would double check on this policy though). Most of the flowers also don’t have to be cleaned (I believe bloomstar bulk orders require you to clean off the pedals and rehydrate the flowers). In my opinion the best strategy would be to do an order from Costco so you have the exact colours and flowers you want and then check out your local grocery stores and/or greenhouses for specialty/seasonal buds to supplement.

Thanks ladies! I haven’t finalized a venue. Possibly Okanagan or Vancouver Island, so unfortunately Bootah Jardin probably won’t work. Seems like Costco is the seller of choice. I’m just concerned about selection but I’ll check them out.
