- Wedding: November 2013
This is my first post (however not my first browse through the site), so i apologise if I break a rule somewhere in this post.
Hubby-to-be and i have decided on a candy theme for our winter wedding, and our colours are Royal Blue and cherry red, (and white obviously).
We are getting married in a rainforest and having a indoor night reception.
Were aiming have a romantic ceremony, and a crazy and very fun reception.
So our reception is going with a Willy-Wonka-esqu theme (in the sense that we wants as much as possible to be edible).
Our invites are wonka (or hershey) bars with a golden ticket as the wedding invite, and we’re thinking along the lines of edible chocolate flowers as centrepieces adorned with sugar roses and coloured licorice, and ovcourse candy favours and possible a chocolate fountain.
I quickly googled some ideas, but couldnt find anything along the lines of ‘edible wedding’ (lol), so anything creative and great you can throw my way im up for!
I have a very zany and creative MOB and Maid/Matron of Honor that are willing to help with making centrepieces etc etc.
Also, what does everyone think of a night wedding?
We originally wanted very much to have a rainforest ceremony at night adorned with lots of fairy lights and (battery operated) candles to light the way, but there would be no time for well lit day time photos, other than inside the reception, and our ceremony venue has so many spots that we wants to take advantage of.
Has anyone done a night ceremony (in winter, or the cooler months), and pulled off beautful photos?
