I LOVE this idea to make wooden place cards with a clear circle label on it. The website that I found it on said that the girl got a Eucalyptis branch from a park worker and cut it into strips with a miter saw. I am in the Chicagoland area and that doesn’t grow here.
Have you seen or done this? Are there any other kind of branches that you think might work in the Midweset?
Thanks! … and aren’t they cute??!!

Thanks!! I will let you know.
I think if people don’t take them they could look pretty cool in a vas or bowle as a momento after the wedding.

I’m having a rustic wedding and have considered using wood slices for our escort cards (but have decided to use river stones, instead). You can buy them, pre-cut, online fairly inexpensively. Just google search something like wood rounds, wood slices, etc. Here is a website I have checked out in the past. Good luck!

if you make them yourself be sure to let the wood dry out for a couple of weeks once you’ve cut the rounds, then the stickers will stick much better!

I got lucky this weekend! We had a crazy storm on Friday, trees were down everywhere… so at FI’s Aunts house we found our branches! They even cut the sections that I need now I just need to miter saw those bad boys! Yay!
