We had some leftover lumber from a job (I’m a carpenter) and i thought id make some signs. Just finished them up and wanted some opinions. Does the writing look to childish? I was going for a rustic, but not country, look. If that makes any sense, haha. It’s really hard to paint nicely on rough sawn wood!

I think it looks GREAT! Especially for DIY. Did you add a shadow to the letters? It kind of looks like you did, but I think it could be more pronounced. It’ll give the signs a more professional look.

These are so cute! Nicely done. I just went crazy making a bunch of wooden signs too. Are you going to pound them into the ground, or have little stands on the bottom, or what?

@lolot: thanks 🙂 they are actually going to be stabbed into hay bales
@Christy42213: No shadow, but I love that idea. It will totally make them look more professional, thanks!

Weetzie: Great look. Made a sign for sign in at the wedding pine shiplap with a vgroove , placing on it a grape vine wreath, stencil names in the heart . Should it be stained first or what should I do with the wood ? People need to sign this with a fine tip sharpie Thanks
