Well my DJ (also my hairstylest and good friend of FI’s family) missed her deadline! We’ve had her “booked” for the DJ spot for over and year and was crazy excited to do it for us since she carries all the equipment and everything. Well I emailed, called, texted, and facebooked her a good 10 times each for the last month to try to get together and pick songs out and no reply…eventhough I know she’s around and comments on FI’s facebook all the time UGH! …let me add that she’s one of those women that “something life changing” will happen to her every week but nothing does so I’m really not suprised. Anyways yesterday was the deadline for her to get ahold of us and as usual, nothing so now we’re going Ipod style! We have everything to do it, now we just need to sit down and make a massive playlist…I’m hoping for 24 hours worth of music!
I know there are a few threads on here about “must have music” for the wedding but I’m hoping if I start a new one there will be more/diffrent songs added so time to post them ladies!! Any songs, I don’t care!! 🙂
…Btw sorry about the little rant, it was just going to be a back story but I had to get it off my chest LOL

I am doing an iPod wedding as well and just now I am putting together my playlist. I am starting out with my must haves which so far are:
Groove is in the Heart- DeeLite
Book of Love- Peter Gabriel
The Safety Dance- Men Without Hats (for some reason I want us to wear fake moustaches when we dance to it lol)
The Bomb- Pidgeon John
That’s it so far….
I need more ideas as well!

That’s awesome, I just got a few of those songs off ya! 🙂 I wish I could copy and paste my list for ya since I have almost 300 songs but I don’t think that’s possible. So far my most popular ones are Elton John, Nickelback, Brad Paisley, Barenaked Ladies, Blackeyed Peas, and Coldplay 🙂

I have to share this with you all because I’m kinda pissed about it but at least I started a Plan B and gonna stick with it! I FINALLY got ahold of our “DJ” today after this is what she said…
“Hi Kate, I hope everything is going good with your wedding! Sorry I haven’t replyed to your mesages, I’ve been a little…erm….busy. See, after having some more complicated relationship issues, **** and I decided last minute to move to Alberta just to get away from all the drama. I realise I’ve been on Facebook alot and kind of ignored your messages both phone and on here, but I didn’t know how to tell ya I was gone. Anyways I hope for all the best for you two and let me know how it all went! Lots of love, *****”
