I’m sure any DJ can do this. Just make up a playlist and make it part of your contract that they stick firmly to it. Should work just fine.
deep breath thankyu ….sometimes it just nice to hear (read) these things out loud
I prefer djs. Not only are they cheaper, but they have access to millions of songs as heard by the original artists how guests are used to hearing them. If you have any special requests, a dj is better equipped to provide what you need/want.
We LOVED our band. People actually enjoyed listening to them, rather than just having background music. Put an ad on craigslist or check craigslist for bands offering to play – the ones who contacted us would have had no problem playing whatever we wanted. I’ve been to weddings with DJs and weddings with bands and it’s totally worth it to have a band.
alot of companies now have fusion acts with djs and bands. I personally like a great band. Gives your guests something nice and different to experience.
All I can say is one word-BUDGET. If I had an bigger budget I’d choose a band over a DJ..or I’d have BOTH =). Based on my research a band can be something like triple the cost of a DJ (at least NYC prices)
