We’ve got a measly music budget that doesn’t get much in the our area. We put out an ad stating what we wanted and our budget. Through it we found a DJ who charged more but gave us more for our money too.
We were then told he had a disability but once we heard it wasn’t an issue after all we weren’t asking for an energetic emcee we just wanted someone behind the booth playing music. He sounded like he would be a great choice for us!
He has now told us he requires an assisted service dog when he travels. The issue is my dad was bitten as a child and had to have rabies shots which has made him understandably anxious around dogs. A golden retreiver puppy once jumped on him and he had to leave and stayed indoors while it was outside.
The DJ said his dog is well trained, leashed and with him at all times. He said he can make other arrangements for the dog but it will slow him down. What do I do? I don’t want to put the DJ or my dad in an uncomfortable position?
