Hey DMV Brides!!

Our wedding is 09/24/2016 at Raspberry Plain in Leesburg, VA.  Does anyone have any recomendations for shuttle services (looking for transport for guests to and from hotel to wedding) and hotels in the area?  I am struggling and ready to pull my hair out lol

Planning in the DMV has been nonexistent. We gave up and are really looking anywhere along the East Coast, really targeting Philly.

Wedding was 5/2/2015.

Reception at the Billingsley House in Upper Marlboro. This place is a gem. $850 for 7 hours, and the tent holds 120 normally (though I easily got 140 under there, I just needed to provide some additional chairs).

Flowers from Little House of Flower – $650 for bridal bouquet, 8 boutonnieres, 6 corsages. Great to work with.

Cake topper by Wireforst on Etsy, was about $80 I think.

Dress was from Bridals by Elena. Awesome, super recommend these helpful ladies. Also, located next to Little House of Flowers.

The rest of the flowers came from Potomac Wholesale. I spent about $500 for a couple hundred roses, some fillers, and a box of ten prearranged bouquets (10 bouquets for $150). Highly recommend if you’re into doing your own flowers.

Catering by Eleven Courses Catering. Food was very tasty, price was great, and they did the entire set up and break down, and were all around excellent. My day-of food was actually a lot tastier than the trial, which was interesting.

Photography by Amanda Gilley. She is so sweet and easy to work with, loved her photos. Very affordable for the area, too.

Cake was by Cakes by Rachel within the Honeyhive Bakery. Tastes great, she was so sweet, but the cake did not really look like I expected to. A comparison:

Inspiration:

My cake:

Hair by Ruby’s Hair Salon in Annapolis, makeup by Suzanne Eden. Both were excellent!

Great thread! Love the pics, everyone!

I’m not engaged yet but I am almost 100% sure the ring is coming soon. Being the obsessive planner that I am, I have already started browsing online for venues in this area just to get an idea of costs so I can try to come up with a budget.

mishinthecity:  do you mind sending me the list of wineries? I’m thinking about having a winery wedding but since I’m not officially engaged, I feel weird contacting these venues to get more info, lol.

*Keep the pics coming y’all!!!!!!!!*

lamjam87:  Sure!  If it makes you feel any better, I contacted one or two of them before getting engaged.  I felt really weird about it, but you can just say you want a Season Year wedding and they don’t question it 🙂  PMing you my list and search experience now!
