Sounds like he says whatever pops into his head, no filter.

Okay I laughed. 🙂

But yes, my Fiance lacks a filter for a lot of what he says. Sometimes I just give him this look and he’s like “WHAT?” …………

@xshellx2003: Whoa. Totally related to the mom feeling. haha. This morning he asked me where his socks were. Why should I know? They’re yours. lol.

@xshellx2003: Hm, I can imagine that being scary. I just figure my FI’s is from being coddled by his grandmother, who did everything for him. We’ve been living together for two years, and I’ve taken the sort of “tough love” approach with that. He does his own laundry, we take turns with stuff, etc. It’s worked out for US, but I’m sure every situation is different. I knew as soon as we moved in together that I was NOT going to be his grandma – so he had to cope with being a grown up for the first time. College dorms don’t count. haha

@xshellx2003: Hmmm, I can’t lie…I might’ve giggled. Seems maybe a bit lacking in the common sense department? I have a guy friend just like that, except worse!

We were riding in his car one day (him driving) and he was going way too fast. I’m a speed demon myself, but this was a bit drastic. So the convo goes alittle something like this-

Me: Um, you think you might want to slow down a bit, it’s not like we’re late… Why are you going so fast?

Him: I’m just trying to go fast so I put less miles on my car.

*INSERT dramatic eye roll*

@Mrs.tobe: Hahahaha that is just the funniest thing ever! God bless him. You really just can’t even answer that, can you?!

I think all men are a bit thick, really, some of them just manage to bite their lip before the stupid gets out!

My fiance is the same way (or was) the same way, he would say things right off the top of his head and not even think about it until after it came out of his mouth. Some of the things he would say would hurt my feelings so bad or just frustrate me to NO END! Then one day I finally had enough and told him how rude/stupid he sounded. He has been trying really hard to think about things before he says them but I completely understand where you are coming from! I hope things improve!

Well…. I’m the one who says the stupid stuff at our house. So I feel for Mr. Symphony. I get pretty self conscious when I forget to operate the filter and then totally regreat what just came out of my mouth. He just laughs.

All men do not say stupid things, but those were really funny.
