My fiance and I attended the midnight release of Bioshock Infinite last night, and we both got copies. I have one on Xbox 360 (my personal fav console) and he got it on PS3 (his). This post may or may not be a shameless excuse to talk about Bioshock.
My fiance and I together have 2 xbox 360s, a PS3, PC, original xbox, N64 and a few others.
I’m OBSESSED with gaming, always have been. I met someone who was a casual gamer and turned him into a hardcore gamer. Co-op play and multiplayer, and even separate play throughs of single player games are a big part of our life. Even now when I buy a game he is not interested in playing, he finds the need to play it so we can talk about it (can be really irritating actually)
Are there any other bees who game or game with their SO? (Also, god please post if you got Bioshock Infinite. It’s so great)

@DarthBetty: I am the proud owner of a ps3 but the only game I play is Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Lol. I play almost every day. I even have a pink controller 😉

Picked up Infinite last night at the midnight release. I also cosplayed as Elizabeth 🙂
won’t get to play it until Thursday evening though 🙁

@DarthBetty: My fiancé got Bioshock for the PC. I will be pulling up a comfy chair and watching him play. I am not very good at video games but I like to play a few. I mostly just watch him play. Bioshock looks like it’s going to be really interesting!

Yep, we used to play WoW together, but now it’s mostly console stuff. Hard to find split-screen co-op games for PS3, though. :

We both are avid gamers.
I play Counter Strike:Source, The Elder Scrolls franchise, The Sims, and most anything that comes out. I’m a PC Gamer and actually built my machine for gaming.
He is more into LOL.
I never really enjoyed Bioshock, but he loves it.
We are both competitive Magic:The Gathering players. In fact, it is how we met. We are preparing for a huge event in Atlanta at the beginning of next month.

Yeah, but more like cutesy (i.e. non-gory) 2p games for xbox
And we might have spent more than a few hours on sims 3 together.
We don’t game much, but when we do, its totally PG rated, lol

We both play Star Wars: The Old Republic!
He turned me into a gamer lol I had never ever played anything like it before and now I’m hooked! Damn him! lol

By the way I really want the imaginary game “Sugar Rush” from Wreck It Ralph… we both agreed that would be teh awesome.

@joya_aspera: I’ve been addicted to this Sims since I was a kid when it came out. Soooo many wasted hours.

@sunshine_kar: WHAT! You should totally try some more games too. Have you tried getting into any other games?
@pharmy: That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. It’s already hard enough for me to sit at work while I know it’s at home sitting in my XBOX. So I couldn’t imagine not being able to play until Thursday. I thought of dressing up as Elizabeth but I couldn’t quite get the look right so I abandoned it. I’m not good at cosplay anyway, my level would be considered “trying to think of a cool halloween costume”
@MistySoda: When the first Bioshock came out I think I was 14 or 15 and really intimidated by it so I watched my dad play a few hours and then bought it for myself. Some games are just as great watching as they are playing, so I’m sure you will enjoy yourself! They are also a great motivation for getting more into gaming.
@vorpalette: That is the truest thing ever. My Fiance and I played the co op and multiplayer for Uncharted 3 for a long time. But other than that it’s really hard to think of any other apart from that one about sackboys…I can’t recall it’s name. I just remember Stephen Fry in it. Sometimes we’ve played games on PS3 that we’ve traded off on different parts of. Like Heavy Rain for example, but we had already beat it as well.
@MissFemmeFatale: You guys have such an awesome conglomeration of tastes. I’m a big Elder Scrolls nut. I’ve tried so hard multiple times to get into PC gaming, I know one day it will happen, but I think I’m too used to playing laying down from my bed or the couch. I’ve spent a dozens of hours in PC gaming though. I hope your wedding reflects some major magic the gathering awesomeness.

@MissFemmeFatale: Me too 🙂 I don’t know why The Sims is so awesome…but it just is!

We’re both gamers but we mostly game separately. I’m really into RPG’s and strategy games, and my Fiance likes shooters and action games. I think the only game we’ve gotten through together is the 2-player mode for Portal 2. We tried to play Super Mario Bros Wii together, but it wasn’t pretty.
My Fiance is really excited for Bioshock Infinite. I may even give it a try if he buys the PS3 version.

We both game but do it separately most of the time. The stuff he plays (SC2, LoL, etc) is a little high-level for me and I don’t like that much stress while I game hahaha. Right now I’m enjoying the hell out of Ni No Kuni and looking forward to playing some other RPGs similar to that one in the future.

We play God of War and Uncharted together. We haven’t picked up GoW Ascension yet but that’s probably how we will spend Easter long weekend haha.
