My finger is a 5.75 and my e-ring is a .25 carat solitare. My Fiance picked it out all by himself, except for an offhand comment I once made that I wanted something simple. He said he started out looking at slightly bigger rocks, but fell in love with this one because it was so colorless and well-cut. I love how dainty it looks, and how bright it sparkles!

sunshinewish15:  Yep! There are quite a few of us small ring bees. I prefer unique settings to giant rocks- and like you I think the expectation that a man spend thousands of dollars on a ring is a little silly. We’re pretty frugal in general and honestly I would feel self-conscious wearing a giant ring. Mine was around $500, the band was around $150. I actually wanted something with a lot of finger coverage, I feel like really dainty rings make my hands look funny. Oh and my ring size is 5.75

My e-ring has three stones, they total .4 carats, the center is .2 and the sides are .1 each. The wedding band has five tiny stones, probably totals around .2. I love them, they could not be more perfect- and I love knowing that we didn’t spend an absurd amount of money on them.

This is my upgrade after 15 years of marriage. My original stone was .08 ish (really-we were in school and poor!) This is .20 ish.

Me too! My side stones are something like .20 each and my center stone is about .30. My fiancé went for cut and colour over carat size. They sparkle like crazy in person! They’re Canadian diamonds, too.

I have 0.23 center stone and pave stting on a size 6 finger.  I like how low it sits and a quality of the stone, but TBH I’d prefer something bigger or at least not pave setting. I’d go with a 0.5 center store and under 1CTW vintage setting. I may try to upgrade later, but for now dressing it up with a vintagy ring guard. And I’ve been getting nasty comments on its size in the US stores while shopping for a band. 🙁

All of these rings are gorgeous! I love dainty, small rings 🙂 I mean, obviously I still drool over the giant flashy rings, but I’m biased in my love for the small ones!

I’m also a total sucker for 3-stone rings, so colorofmyheart and

WinterQueen – your rings took my breath away! Utter perfection 🙂

Here’s mine. I don’t actually know the numbers, but my fiance picked it out all by himself and I LOVE it to death! (Ignore the fact that my hand looks pink… stupid iPhone)

countrygirlatheart:  thank you! I know all that about the symbol, love, care, all that. It’s also a mater of personal taste, and while it is pretty, it’s not close to what I wanted and what I picked when we went ring shoping.

countrygirlatheart:  no, no, I understand what you meant, and I may have sounded a bit defencive because I am “trained” to react on people bashing me for not liking a ring. sorry about that.

just to clear it up: you didn’t mean anything bad, my ring suits your taste and you complimented it while trying to comfort me.  I got that and I also explained why I didn’t like it. so, we’re just trying to both be nicev :))

My ring is 0.33c center stone. Fiance bought the engagement and wedding rings as a set, and together they total 1c. Edited to add: My finger is a 5.5, I think in this photo the e ring is size 5.75 and the wedding band is probably closer to 6.5. I told him I was around a 6 so he got the 6.5. Yay free resizing!
