My mom lightly pushed the idea of barongs but she doesn’t seem to care too much either way, I think it could be nice but I hate that nobody tucks them in. Would it be weird to have the men wear them but tucked in? Fiance already has a long torso as it is…other than that I love the material and wouldn’t mind incorporating some traditional stuff into our wedding.

unfortunately, i’ve never seen a barong tucked into the pants. i also can’t imagine if it will still look like a barong if sported that way. i think the usual materials barongs are made of will not make tucking them in look “proper”. maybe you can have your guy’s barong tailored so it’s shorter than usual and won’t emphasize his long torso?

@imbisibol: I’d have to agree. I haven’t seen a barong tucked in. I guess you can do it but it’d just be… odd looking? Perhaps you can have the guys not tuck in their undershirt. That way the pants won’t be as noticable under the shirt?

@imbisibol: I think I like the idea of a tailored barong. I saw it on a guy who had his short-sleeved barong shortened and was wearing it just as an everyday look and I really liked the way it looked.
