I will be having lots of candle elements at my reception….because of that i would like to gradually start buying them (with coupons and sales etc) My wedding is next sept 29th. Will ivory candles discolor do you think? Im scared they will turn yellow or something. i plan on keeping them packaged in a lidded container. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I pre-bought my candles at least a year ahead and none of them were discolored. Be aware with ivory candles, unless you buy the exact same ones, the color will vary some (but honestly, it’s not noticeable).

Ivory candles will not discolor.

I think they do discolor, but it takes years. Multiple years, and bad conditions like being left directly in sunlight. You’ll definitely be fine!

They DO discolor, as I work in a store with a lot of candles and have seen all different candles turn into weird discolored shades. Yes, even the white and ivory candles can turn into a yellowish color. I agree firstname.lastname@example.org: they won’t in the time you are buying/using them unless they are in the sun. Just store them away from the light!

I just pulled a white pillar candle out from under the bathroom sink that has been there for at least 2 years. In perfect condition still. 🙂
I agree with PP though to keep them out of the sun in a cool, dry place.
