Does he have any other behavior changes? Or just sneezing?

If it’s just sneezing (and he’s still eating, drinking, using the litterbox and acting normally) then I’d continue to monitor it for a bit and take him to the vet if it continues too long.

If he has behavior changes too, then you should probably take him to the vet sooner rather than later.

They get colds, but they also have allergies, and perhaps even a respiratory infection would cause sneeziness, which would require antibiotics.

Watch for lethargy, no eating, and any unusual behavior. Chat with your vet about the sneezing to see if they want to see him.

It could be allergies, a simple cold, or a more severe respiratory infection.  Watch carefully for lethary (even mild), lack of appetite and sores on the nose or mouth.

Sneezing is a sign of Calicivirus.  One of my kitties got it 2 years ago, but she didn’t sneeze at all.  She seemed “off” for a few days but was still eating and drinking, just sleeping a lot and very snuggly.  Then she started hiding under the couch, which she had never done before. And then her poor little nose got so ulcerated, the whole nose was raw.  I took her to the vet right away and they took one look at her and asked if she had been sneezing.  Anyways, they diagnosed Calicivirus and kept her for 36hrs for IV hydration/calories and pain meds.

I got my cat at 6 months and he was sneezing for a week or so. It eventually just went away.

Yes, be careful cause last month I passed my cold to my puppy, she just started coughing and sneezing after me.

Also, if your pet gets a cold tht doesn’t go away in a few days take it to the vet, there’s this thing that develops in them from cerain type of cold that can be fatal if not treated.

A lot of times after I’ve been sick my cat sneezes for a few days too. I am pretty sure she catches most of my colds because she sleeps by me every night.

While cats can catch colds, or have allergies, your cat cannot catch a cold from you, or you from it.

As PP have said, cats definitely can get colds.  Our kitten caught a cold last week and had watery eyes and a reduced appetite for a couple days.  Less than a week later, she is back to her normal self and her eyes have stopped tearing.  The poor little thing looked so miserable when she was sick!
