We hired a fiddle player & guitarist to play the ceremony & cocktail hour…do we feed them a meal or does that not work because of the timing (reception food won’t be out for 30-45 min after they’re done)? I’m thinking that we should but I’m a feeding type so I don’t know what’s the norm on this one…

It could be tricky since they won’t have anywhere to be when the reception starts, and as you said the meal doesn’t get served right away. You could ask your caterer if maybe they can box a meal up early for them, or else maybe have someone make a plate of hors d’oeurves from the cocktail hour for each of them to have when they are done playing. And that way you’re not actually paying extra for them either.

I do not think you need to feed them.

Generally, they don’t, but as a courtesy, I asked mine if they wanted one. They declined.
