I’m a big online shopper, and have given out my email address to COUNTLESS stores like Express, Gap, Limited, Shutterfly, DSW, Sephora, The Knot, even Walgreens! I get an average of 15 emails a days highlighting the new styles of the season, the latest sale, or the free shipping deal at any number of stores.
For the first few weeks of receiving these emails, I’d read every one, and then browse on the websites out of curiousity. I was spending waay too much time and money online shopping!
Then Weddingbee alerted me to a daily digest which included all the deals from my favorite stores–The Bargainist. (Thanks, Mrs. Bee!) Now I have a ‘junk’ email address to collect all those daily retailer emails, and I just read the Bargainist daily.
Are you tempted by the daily email promotions sent by retailers? Or do you just delete them like spam?

If I am looking for a particular something (say, an outfit for my rehearsal dinner) then I pay special attention to those e-mails, so that I can at least get a deal on an outfit that I like. If I’m not, I usually just delete them right away. Looking through what’s on sale can get too tempting!

I’m rarely tempted by email promos. Like ES123, I only really pay attention to them if they pertain to something I’m looking for or am interested in. Otherwise I just delete right off the bat.

I am the same way with the email promos, if I am looking for something specific & get an email about a deal on it then I’ll take a look, otherwise I just delete them.

I delete unless I am in need of something specific. I get tons of those weekly e-mails, but stay signed up because I can wait for what I need (err..want) goes on sale and use coupon codes to get it!
Although I may only be adding to your "problem" which I also have (a-hem), I have found this site to be really cool. You pick the retailers that you love and what size/type/style you want to hear about and then you pick how often they e-mail you. I’m totally hooked, BUT it has cut my inbox clutter considerably.

I think it depends on the store it’s from and whats in the subject line. If it’s nothing interesting, I just delete it. If it has like 50% off or has some brands I like, then I would check it out.
