(Closed) Do dogs “feel” love like we do?

I always wondered this, too! I even asked Fiance once “Do you think Charlie knows I love him”

lol, I think they know we take care of them and are there for them, but Im not sure if its the same “love” that we feel, ya know?

I think they do, or why would they be so happy to see us.  My dog will actually crawl on my lap and throw herself into my chest until I hug her and the other will crawl up like a baby and put a paw on either side of your neck and cuddle your neck.  They also show love by trying to please you, that is why they are trainable.

I just read something that talked about how animals (more complex ones) do experience a wide range of emotions like humans do. I’m guessing that animals just don’t comprehend them as humans do. I am certain your dog loves you.  🙂
