Yeah you are overthinking it.  The only thing that would be remotely questionable is fabrics for different seasons at the same wedding.  Like velvet and rayon.

I definitely don’t think it’s necessary! I love the mismatched look, and I think it could get very matchy if you try to match the fabric as well. Of course, if matchy is what you’re going for, then more power to you!!! I don’t think it’s a necessity at all, though!

No…it doesn’t have to match. Lol. But I was the same way and went with satin dresses because my dress is satin…shhhh don’t tell anyone.

i love the non matchy matchy – it brings more to the event I think. In saying that I am not doing it, haahaahaa  I don’t have the patience to receive all the questions as to why I am not doing it this way or that way etc… I have gotten enough of that already and it keeps me up at night, UGH

I’m basically telling my bridesmaids “here are some color swatches, here are some fabrics, find any combo of the two and have at it!” I want them to find a dress that they’re comfortable in and will wear again (I think I’m doing green or brown). Plus it lets them find a dress in their price range.

Mine aren’t going to match. I love non matching bridesmaids and think its nice to have some dimension in the fabrics. PS I love the second Bridesmaid or Best Man dress!

Those two styles definitely go together!  I don’t think it matters if the fabrics are the same or not.  Mine were totally diffferent and, in fact, my Bridesmaid or Best Man even wore different fabrics.  I just had them pick JCrew dresses in black, so they had a variety of materials.  I actually think it looked cool.

I definitely wouldn’t worry about matching fabrics…as long as they are both season-appropriate
