My partner & I are getting married at a lavender farm, and are going to have handmade lavender soap made locally as favours. They will be wrapped in cellophane.
I am unsure whether favours should have name tags and placed at each of the guest’s seats, or whether it is okay to just have a big basket/table with favours for guests to take as they leave, if they wish.
Are either of these acceptable? What will you be doing?

I say they don’t need name tags unless you are also using them to let your guest know what table they are assigned
if you put the favor on each seat, guests are more likely to take them. Some will miss/forget about a basket on a side table

They don’t need name tags unless you’d like them to double as place cards. I would, however, do as Glasgowbound suggested and put them on their seat, or maybe beside their plate, so they are more likely to notice and take them.

I don’t think they need name tags, as long as like mentioned above they aren’t used for place cards too.
