- Wedding: March 2011
Hello ladies! This is my first post, but I’ve been stalking your posts for a few months now. I guess that sounds kindof creepy….well, HELLO THERE!
So I haven’t seen this sitution come up and wanted to know some opinions.
While going over wedding stuff, someone mentioned that we needed a person to be in charge of the programs–a program attendant. My fiance and I looked at each other with blank faces. Why do we need this person?
The way the ceremony is arranged, you have to walk past the little table with the basket with the programs in it. You can’t miss it. Seriously. Why do I have to have someone there to make sure that everyone picks one up? I don’t know.
Well, after discussing it we decided that my fi’s cousin could handle the job. She’s not part of the wedding party, but her mom and dad are hosting our rehearsal dinner at their house AND her best friend/cousin/fi’s sister is a bridesmaid. This would be a nice way to get her involved!
I’ve already ordered all of the wedding party gifts. They are done. So….do I get a gift for my program attendant? Do I include her in the ceremony program? And if I get a gift for her, do I need to get a gift for the two people that will be reading poems during the ceremony? They aren’t in the wedding party and I don’t have gifts for them.
Who knew that planning a wedding would make you think and re-think silly little decisions OVER AND OVER AND OVER!??! HELP!
Oh–and by the way, we are paynig for our own wedding. So, we have a budget!!
