@FutureDrAtkins:  usually I send a gift if I’m invited (even if I’m not going), however, if you already spent the money you were planning on spending I would not buy another gift.

I would not send another gift, but I would send a card saying congrats.

I would get her something small.

@FutureDrAtkins:  I wouldn’t. I don’t know if you “should” but I still wouldn’t. I don’t like to live my life to other people’s standards and do what I should do. You mentioned it is a coworker, not a friend, you already bought her a gift, you helped throw her shower, and you guys can’t afford to go to the wedding (so I’m assuming there isn’t a ton of extra money). Don’t put yourself out for someone else’s wedding.

You don’t HAVE to give a gift, but I personally would. At the very least you should send a card.

@FutureDrAtkins:  Have you been invited ? If not, I would not buy her a gift. You’ve helped her and given her gifts already.

You don’t “have” to get her another gift, maybe get something small and a card.

Nah I’d just get her a card. You already got a nice shower gift and helped throw the shower. If you aren’t attending the wedding a card will do.
