So I’ve been looking for the Marisa 898 for a while. True to form, the bridal consultant encouraged me to try on a gown that was way out of my budget. I tried it on and fell in love…
I just found it through a company called Nearly Newlywed. The gown is at a $1,000 discount and thanks to the previous owner’s alterations, it would only need to be taken in three inches at the waist!
Has anyone used this company? They are offered a used dress at a great discount. Even better, they only require a $30 processing fee, should I choose to return it for a full refund.
They have recent press with companies that I trust (http://www.nearlynewlywed.com/pages/recent-press) but I’m still a little anxious about spending this much money over the internet.
What do you think, bees? Go for it or spend the extra money to buy it in person?

It would really depend on their return policy. I purchased two wedding dresses from nordstrom.com (75% off on sale). I’m not worried because I know they have a generious return policy in case it doesn’t work out for me. Returns is the biggest factor…

Haha absolutely, the return policy is crucial!
Their return policy is that you have five days to return the dress for a full refund – minus a $30 processing fee. (http://www.nearlynewlywed.com/pages/return-policy)
Also, kudos on snagging such a phenomenal deal on your dress(es)!!

@lemiller: Hmmm, 5 days is not long at all. Is it five days from the time it was confirmed delivered? What if it was late because of the delivery company? That means you have to tear open the package, try it on and send it back ASAP if it doesn’t work. Regular stores generally have a 30-90 day return policy (Nordstrom is unlimited as long as it’s not altered). With that said, they have beautiful dresses. I would go for it if you can get a good deal on what you want!
