@Jw1724:  It’s only been two days since you last called. I would wait at least a week, otherwise you may come off as a little pushy or desperate.

Do you have any emails? DO you have other phone  numbers that do not go directly to HR?

I would wait one more day before calling HR again.

@Jw1724:  Please don’t ever call after an interview. It’s generally seen as unprofessional. A polite, “nice to meet you, and thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you” e-mail is the best approach. 

Having fielded calls from applicants, I can tell you than it’s kind of frustrating to get these calls. Hiring takes a lot longer than you think it does (internal systems that applicants just aren’t aware of) so give them some time to actually make a decision. You don’t know how many people they are interviewing, so they could still be going through the process.

I also agree with not calling after an interview… an email is fine (and great), but a phone call can be seen as annoying.

Most job postings say no phone calls please, and that translates into any point of the hiring process.

People seem to be divided on the how-much-to-follow-up issue, but I think even the biggest proponents of following up frequently would find two phone calls in one week to be too much. They simply might not have an answer right now-have to wait for someone to get back from vacation before finalizing an offer, they got slammed with work that took higher priority over hiring, they got some last-minute applications and decided to interview those candidates-and calling won’t move the process along and could annoy them if they CAN’T give you an answer.

Did they give you any sort of expected timeline during your last contact with them?
