I have been looking at used dresses on Pre-Owned Wedding Dresses.com. I realized that I could get a much higher end dress for my budget if I buy used. Is this a good idea or is it better to go for a lower end dress that is new? Has anyone purchased a dress from that website or another used dress website? I’d love to hear about the experience.

Remember that almost all used wedding dresses are only used once! I say try a used one, but be SURE you can return it if you have even the slightest doubt about fit or style.
I’d totally do it if I wanted a traditional wedding dress.

I didn’t purchase mine from a website, but bought a sample as opposed to ordering a new one. It saved me $1200!

Try finding a sample in a shop! That way you can try it on and know exactly what you are getting. If you are going to buy online though, it’s totally what you feel comfortable with. I’d go with whatever dress you absolutely love- you shouldn’t buy a dress based on designer imho- pick the one that makes you feel gorgeous!!

@pasleymoo: Me too! I felt like SuperWoman when I realized how much I had saved! 🙂
@WhiteViolet: Forget the brand! Seriously who cares who makes the dress?! Which one do you love? Which one do you see yourself saying “I do!” in?! That’s what should really matter. I didn’t buy mine from a website, but I also bought a sample dress off the rack…I honestly couldn’t tell you who makes it…and I fell in love with it before I even tried it on! Is there somewhere you can go to try on the one you’ve found online? That may help give you a better idea of whether or not this is the right dress for you. Good luck 🙂
