sunshine809:  my band is also .25 smaller… but I don’t wear it yet. Not sure if that’s the move yet, need to try again in summer!

Mine are both the same size and I’ve never had an issue with it.

MrsKD123:  depends on the style.  I tried one that only look right if the wedding band was a size smaller but some looked better in the same size

The more room things take on the finger, the tighter things can get.  I would size up 1/4 at least.

MrsKD123:  I intend to order my band a quarter size smaller to make it fit more snug and hold my ering more securely on my hand (esp since I intend to wear wedding band on the outside and not inside). My ering right now is a good fit but feels looser than I’d like when my fingers shrink and are really cold.

My wedding band and engagement ring are the same size. I wanted to be able to wear the band alone. However, I agree with previous posters. The more rings on the finger, the tighter they start to feel. I have a few stacking bands and those are .50 larger (normal size is 4, stacking bands are 4.5).

Darling Husband got my ering a half a size bigger than my actual size. I’m a 5.5 but he ended up getting me a 6, however I held off on getting it resized until I got my wedding band (also a size 6) which fit perfectly once the rings were stacked together. Pretty glad too, since my RHR is a 5.5 and I notice its a bit harder to put on some days.

My ering is a K (5.25) which feels right most of the time but when my hands are wet it feels loose so I am having my wedding band made in a J 1/2 (5) as that is the ring I will wear the most (can’t wear ering at work) and I don’t want to lose it when I am washing my hands.  They look the same size when on my finger despite being different.

My future wedding band is 2mm and my engagement ring is 2.1mm they are made to match – both are De Beers Classic line, so I don’t know why there’s a tiny 0.1 mm size difference.

My e-ring was ordered as a 3 (turned out to be a little too tight for my taste. My right hand is a 3.5, so I thought my left would be half a size smaller. Every other finger is.. -.-) When I ordered my wedding ring, I got it in a 3.5, and had my e-ring stretched up to a 3.25. The difference is imperceptible to my eye and I like having a slightly tighter fit on my e-ring since I wear it on the outside. It feels more secure. This combo works well for me, but if I had to do over, I’d get my e-ring in a 3.5 from the start.

Mine are usually the same size, but I’m in this weird place right now where I am losing weight. (Weird in a good way, but hard on the whole ring sizing issue — ha, ha!) At the moment, my anniversary ring, which I wear in the “ERing spot” of my set, is technically a size 8.5. My wedding band, which was a Christmas present, is a size 8.

I’ve now lost enough weight that my ring finger is a size 7 or 7.5. So I had a sizing bump put into my anniversary ring because it was just way too loose. (It almost fell off my finger. >.O) I left the wedding band alone. Eventually, I will have to size my anniversary ring down permanently, but I am waiting till I reach my weight loss goal. At that point, I’m not sure what I’ll do with the wedding band.

I just ordered my wedding band and went with the same size as my engagement ring (5.5). The jeweler wanted me to go down at least a quarter size but I was too paranoid about my fingers swelling in the summer and the possibility of having to have it resized especially since there will be diamonds in the band.
