It also depends on where she is hosting it on how much you should spend.  My shower was downtown at a hotel where I know she shelled out a significant amount of money so I spent around $150 on a hostess present AND took her out to dinner the night before.

I did this for my friends that threw me a shower however for the work shower I did not because it was a large group that all chipped in.

Yea, it’s a nice gesture. I made “From my shower to yours” gifts for my bridal shower hosts and they really appreciated them. Something small and inexpensive can go a long way.

I did. Nothing crazy, just some scone mix & jam from Harry & David. Would’ve thrown in tea as well if I knew what kind of tea she drank. (This was for my husband’s aunt and she seemed to be the kind of person who would like it.) This was for a backyard BBQ shower too, pretty casual.
