I saw that Groupon!  There’s another Bee who actually used that same photographer (at the Westin in Richmond?).

I don’t think you were dishonest!  Let it be a surprise!

@LoveMySailor1018: If you’re really worried, give him subtle hints.  Like, when he asks about why your hair was done up just reply, “Oh, you’ll find out when you see your christmas present…”  You’re not lying and you’re still not giving it away.

In the end though, this is completely about trust, like you said.  Just be sure your fiance has no doubts that the only sneakin’ you’re doing is completely for him!

It’s a surprise, there’s nothing wrong with it. You are doing it for him and thinking about him, don’t feel bad.

@LoveMySailor1018: I don’t remember the bee, but it was with Tait…Erica Tait.  She does a lot of work in the DC/VA area.

You didn’t lie to him…he asked what you were doing, and you told him the truth. If I say I am christmas shopping, my FH shouldn’t immediately ask the contents of his gift. it’s not lying if I don’t tell him what I got, that’s part of xmas!

Don’t tell him, let his jaw drop when he sees them!  He’ll know you did it just for him and he’ll probably get over it pretty quickly. 😉

I felt similarily when I did a boudoir session for my husband (it was his wedding present).  I was super worried that he would freak out that one of the photographers had been male (it was a husband and wife team) and had seen me in my skivies.  It stressed me out right up until I gave him his present.  My husband was floored by the gift (in a good way) and absolutely loved it.  Looking back I’m glad I didn’t let him in on his present, it was great to be able to surprise him and he didn’t care that one of the photographers had been a guy at all.
