I went with my Fiance, which was a good thing too, since nothing fit him at all! Suit sales people can be a little pushy sometimes, so if your Fiance isn’t good at saying “no”, then it would be good to be there.  I guess it depends on how comfortable he is with the idea of going by himself, and how much he knows what he wants.

I would go! I use myself as an example bc over the summer, I was too lazy to go and instead of the lovely charcoal grey color suits I was expecting, he came back with black suits….Grrrrr.

So moral of the story is, even if you give clear instructions, go with them bc boys cannot be trusted to do anything themselves!

I’m not sure if you can haggle a rental.  Maybe if you’re ordering more than one?

@trailmix – haha! No kidding, Fiance: “What do you mean there’s more than one shade of black?! A black suit is a black suit!”

I went with mine and I am glad I did. It was a fun experience for both of us.

I went. I trust his tastes and we’ve already talked about colors. But I’m paranoid about deposits, contracts, dates, and fine prints of the sort and although my Darling Husband is pretty good at details it doesn’t hurt to have a second person be involved in the transaction. It also gave me a peace of mind.

if you’re having doubts, i would definitely go! i went with my fi to pick out his outfit. not only do we differ in styles (i love him, but he doesn’t really have any style), but he’s color blind. there’s no way i was letting him go alone. i let him pick, because it was important to him, but i got to say yes or no.

I’m definitely going.  I think it would be a fun afternoon for both of us and just another reason to get excited for the wedding.

I’m going with mine! There are too many choices for them to mess up and not get what YOU want! Definitely accompany him! Kiss

I definitely went with my husband!  I tried to lay low and just comment when he asked…but I wanted to make sure he walk out with something crazy!

He was glad I was there to tell him what I thought of each suit/tux

The Hubs has a great sense of style, but I still went with him for moral support.  🙂

My Mother-In-Law and I both went with my husband to pick out the tux rentals for him and the dads (his dad was the best man) and the usher.  That way I got to choose the colors and we could get him fitted for his right away.  I don’t think that you can haggle the prices at most shops but at Men’s Warehouse, if you rent 4 tuxes, you get the 5th free.
