OMG so I had a feeling that my Boyfriend or Best Friend had bought the ring (we had gone shopping months ago) and I accidentally found the box (it was an accident, I promise!) He hid it in his sock drawer (how cliche, right?) and I found it when I was putting laundry away (we live together). I didn’t look, just felt the box. But now it’s all I’m thinking about!!! I know I should wait and let him surprise me, but I can’t just sit and know that it’s in the same room as me and NOT LOOK!!! AHHH the suspense is KILLING ME!!!

even though it won’t be easy, you really shouldn’t look. Let him have his surprise

Don’t look! I found the box too and not looking was so hard but worth it!

I would definitely look because I have 0 willpower. But I would really wish I hadn’t looked! Stay strong!!!

Personally I would look because I just couldn’t help myself, but try not to! I just couldn’t stand the thought of getting all excited and then finding out it was a pair of earrings for his grandmother :/
… just sayin’

PLEASE don’t ruin a key moment. You will be so sorry that you looked!

Dont look! I know it’s hard but think how wonderful that moment will be!

Don’t look! Just think of how much better the moment will be when you are truly, completely surprised, and not just pretending this is the first you’ve seen it! You don’t want to start off married life by keeping that kind of secret 🙂 I found the valuation certificate for my ring in DH’s car (I didn’t open it, just saw the front of the brochure) and worked *so hard* to pretend (to myself) it wasn’t what I knew it was. It’s worth it in the end to not short change you or your SO 🙂

DON’T LOOK! you will have the rest of your life to spend countless hours looking at it. In the meantime distract yourself and get out of the house so that you wont be tempted to look.

Wow I know if that happened to me it would be EXTREMELY hard not to peek, but honestly you want to be surprised so DONT DO ITTTT!!
Real life example: I peeked at my Christmas present (a laptop) from my Boyfriend or Best Friend and when I opened it I “acted” surprised and he figured out I peeked (hey, not my fault its a huge box and he hides it and the receipt is such an obvious place!) So yea, after that, I vowed I would never peek at a gift again b/c it bummed him out I knew my gift.

HAHA, so true, I know I can’t look, I just needed the support. Although I’m going to be pretty annoyed if I sit here anxiously for too long!
